“It was an amazing garden like nothing Will had ever seen. Everything was covered in snow and glittering ice, the winding paths, the clusters of trees and what looked like mazes. And here and there blue fountains splashed and a river meandered between them, though the water didn’t look like water at all but like a stream of sapphires. And strangest of all was how see-through everything looked, trees showing through trees, the river showing through heaps of snow. It was all like a daydream, half imagination, half reality. But Will knew that it was real.”

  1. Did you leave the little bridge at your old place? I did wonder :)

    1. Yes. It had gone all rotten so we didn't bother taking it with us. I don't know whether it's been left there or pulled up. I'll probably get one for the new garden next year.

    2. That's a shame. You'll have to treat the wood when you get a new one. Where did you end up putting your conservatory furniture?

    3. Yes, we'll definitely wood treat the next one. Our conservatory furniture is in the conservatory, but it's not a posh conservatory like in the other house. It's old and wooden and single glazed and the roof leaks (though luckily not where the furniture is!). But it's better than nothing, and also fits our washing machine. :P
